Thanks to TikTok, American apparel brand Gap has reissued its vintage brown logo hoodie, a product they haven’t sold since early 2000s. Come January of this year, Gen Z creators posted videos on the streaming platform sporting the said hoodie and quickly became a hit. The originator of the trend was Barbara Kristofferson, a social media influencer followed for her aesthetically pleasing fashion content. Now, the #GapHoodie hashtag has over 6.6 million entries and is still growing.
Leveraging on this social media blowup, Gap has released the hoodie made of authentic soft knit cotton with recycled polyester and front kanga pocket for literally everything. “Meet the Brown Logo Hoodie that went viral. Big on TikTok. Officially reissued for RN,” the brand stated on its site.
