Ralph Lauren SS27: A masterclass in the art of dressing
Presented in Milan, Ralph Lauren’s ‘Dream Racers’ collection reimagines classic menswear through eclectic styling and romantic sophistication
Presented at the Ralph Lauren Palazzo in Milan, Ralph Lauren’s spring-summer 2027 collection, aptly titled “Dream Racers,” was a reminder that great style is as much about attitude as it is about clothing. Drawing inspiration from collegiate traditions, sporting heritage, and the enduring appeal of the gentleman athlete, the collection celebrated individuality through thoughtful styling.
Across both Purple Label and Polo, classic menswear was reimagined with a sense of ease and personality. Plaids were layered over plaids, proving that mixing patterns can work when balanced through scale and color. Tailoring took on a more relaxed spirit, with blazers, ties, and waistcoats paired with cargo shorts, carpenter pants, and rugged outerwear.
The collection also embraced a softer, more romantic side of menswear. Ballet flats, fluid silhouettes, and tonal dressing offered a fresh take on masculine elegance, while patchwork pieces were grounded with quieter textures for a look that felt eclectic rather than overwhelming.
True to Ralph Lauren’s cinematic approach to storytelling, “Dream Racers” painted a portrait of the modern man: creative, competitive, and unafraid to express himself through what he wears.
