11 years in, New Era Philippines gets a fresh coat of paint

Four Filipino artists reinterpret the brand’s core values in a limited-edition capsule celebrating New Era Philippines’ 11th year

To celebrate its 11th anniversary in the Philippines, New Era is putting local creativity in the spotlight with NEW ERA CO11ECTIVE, a limited-edition capsule that brings together four artists with distinctly different styles—and asks them to interpret the values that have shaped the brand over the years.

Rather than simply dropping another anniversary collection, New Era invited Jethro Olba, Lei Melendres, Nicolo Nimor, and Raco Ruiz to leave their mark on some of the brand’s most recognizable silhouettes. The result is a capsule that feels as much like an art collaboration as it does a streetwear release.

The collection includes a reimagined 59FIFTY, a Camper, a 9TWENTY, and a commemorative graphic tee. Each piece carries details unique to the collaboration—from interchangeable enamel pins and velcro patches to custom embroidery and illustrations pulled from the artists’ own work. Even the paintbrush-shaped cap pin on the 9TWENTY is a subtle nod to the creative process behind the project.

Each artist was paired with one of New Era’s defining values. Jethro Olba explores Individuality through his nostalgic, character-led illustrations that celebrate standing out without trying too hard. Lei Melendres channels Collaboration with his signature intricate linework, reflecting how different ideas can come together to create something bigger than themselves. Nicolo Nimor interprets Authenticity with bold, unmistakably personal artwork that champions staying true to your own voice. Meanwhile, Raco Ruiz brings Pride to life through his playful use of color, encouraging people to embrace their journey with confidence.

The collaboration also says something about where New Era Philippines is today. Eleven years in, the brand has grown beyond being just a destination for caps, becoming part of a wider creative community that spans art, fashion, music, and street culture. NEW ERA CO11ECTIVE feels like a celebration of that evolution, the one that puts Filipino artists and their stories at the center.
