Aesop’s Queer Library makes its Philippine debut
From June 26 to 28, 2026, visitors can browse and take home complimentary books by LGBTQIA+ authors at Aesop SM Aura
For three days, Aesop SM Aura will trade skincare for storytelling as the Aesop Queer Library makes its Philippine debut from June 26 to 28, 2026.
Now in its sixth year globally, the initiative transforms Aesop stores into temporary libraries, replacing product displays with books by LGBTQIA+ authors. Visitors are invited to select one complimentary title to take home, while stocks last, with no purchase required.

This year’s edition, titled “Body of Work,” explores the body as both a personal and shared experience. Through stories centered on queer identities, the collection seeks to challenge assumptions, amplify underrepresented voices, and celebrate the many ways people experience and express themselves.
For its inaugural Manila edition, the library features 29 titles in English and Filipino from local publishers including Anvil Publishing, Adarna House, and Milflores.
More than a literary initiative, the Aesop Queer Library is a reminder of storytelling’s enduring power to foster empathy, community, and conversation.
