It was in August 2019 when lifestyle brand Bench first announced that South Korean actor Ji Chang Wook will be part of their ambassador roster. After three years, the 35-year-old actor finally landed in Manila for the “Reach You” tour to meet his fans.
Chang Wook is known for his popular roles on “The K2” (2016), “Suspicious Partner” (2017), “Melting Me Softly” (2019), “Backstreet Rookie” (2020), “The Sound of Magic” (2022), and “If You Wish Upon Me” (2022).
For his recent tour, he kicked it off in Seoul last month and will end in Jakarta by December. For his Manila leg, he indulged the members of the media for an afternoon tea with him. The actor shared some of his insights about his career in acting, and how he liked working with Bench.
“Bench is the first company that I was able to work with in the Philippines,” said Chang Wook. “Bench was very hospitable and accommodating. They treated me like a family where I was able to work in a very comfortable environment.”
One revelation of the actor which delighted the members of the media was when he revealed his favorite Filipino food. The actor said that he visited Bench Café and tried halo-halo and sisig, which easily became his favorite.
When asked about what his fans can look forward to in the future, Chang Wook said, “I’m very thankful that a lot of you have come to see me. Please expect much from me. For my coming works and series that I am working on. I will always be coming back for you bringing you more fun and the series I’m working on.”
Chang Wook has two eau de toilette collaborations with Bench. One is “Sure Blue” which is said to be the actor’s signature scent, and “So In Love” with notes of amber. See the choices below:
