Cos collaborates with Kyoto-based artisan Kazuki Tabata
Streaks and plays of colors through traditional Japanese dyeing techniques star in Cos’s latest collection as the brand collaborates with Kyoto-based artisan Kazuki Tabata. The artist manipulated the fabric through a resist-dyeing craft of shibori, creating mesmerizing patterns on modern silhouettes.
Consisting of a 14-piece collection, there are womenswear, menswear, and accessories with a unique blend of texture and flair in soft colors of blue, orange, and brown, evoking a sense of timelessness and peace.

To create patterns on delicate silk scarves, the Sekka Shibori technique was utilized, involving triangular folds, while for other garments, the Tesuji Shibori technique took center stage, creating ripples and pleat-looking outlines on sustainable garments.
