Meet Solais, Aesop’s facial-inspired hand serum

Powered by niacinamide, dandelion root, and LHA, the latest launch gives hardworking hands the attention they deserve

We spend plenty of time obsessing over our faces, yet our hands—arguably the hardest-working part of our bodies—are often left with little more than a quick swipe of hand cream. Aesop wants to change that with Solais (pronounced SOL-ish, from the Irish word meaning “of light”), a new hand serum that borrows from facial skincare and gives hardworking hands the same level of attention we’d usually reserve for our complexions.

The lightweight formula pairs niacinamide, dandelion root, and LHA (Lipo-Hydroxy Acid) to help brighten skin, soften the appearance of dark spots, and support the skin barrier while defending against the daily wear and tear of urban life.

Rather than replacing your hand cream, Solais fits into a layered routine. Apply it after cleansing and before your preferred Aesop Aromatique Hand Balm, then finish with sunscreen during the day. It’s a ritual that feels less like basic maintenance and more like giving your hands their own facial.

As with any Aesop launch, the sensorial experience is just as considered as the science. A fresh blend of lavender stem, bergamot rind, and neroli blossom gives the serum a clean floral-citrus scent that lingers without overpowering your fragrance.
