Versace brings new attitude to menswear for fall 2022
The collection is sensitive, sensual, and fluid
Versace fall 2022 presents the new Versace man as Donatella Versace moves forward with diversity and a refreshed definition of masculinity. “This collection introduces Versace Men’s 2.0. Launching this new chapter on the second day of the second month in 2022 feels right,” shares the designer. “It represents a next step and move forward, not focusing on the singular but on multiplicity, progression, and diversity—exactly what I see valued by the new generation and the way they express their masculinity in so many refreshing ways. This collection embraces that by looking not at the Versace Man but to the Versace Men.”
The performative presentation features male models dressing up in a more ritualistic way as the beauty of the human body is presented before getting dressed up in fluid silhouettes of suits, long coats, and wide pants. Knitwear and formal coats are reimagined in wool, cashmere, and silk blend.
The collection features bright oranges mixed with purples, pinks, and aquamarine while leopard print came in colors of neon green and blue. Soft grain leather is used for the bags, while La Greca signature motif of the maison are seen on metal hardwares.
