Fifty shades? Try decades of grey
New Balance honors the color that became its signature through a month-long celebration across sport, style, and culture
For decades, grey has been more than just a color for New Balance, it has been a signature. This May 2026, the brand is turning that legacy into a full-scale celebration as Grey Days returns to the Philippines with a month-long campaign spanning lifestyle, performance, skate, and kids categories.
Far from a simple product rollout, Grey Days dives into the story behind one of the brand’s most recognizable design choices. Introduced in the 1980s, grey was originally a practical decision. While running shoes of the era leaned heavily into loud, eye-catching hues, New Balance took a quieter route, creating footwear designed to blend seamlessly into the concrete landscapes of city running.

Over time, that understated shade evolved into something bigger: a defining symbol of the brand’s identity. Grey came to represent versatility, confidence, and an independent spirit that never needed to shout for attention.
For 2026, New Balance expands that idea further, positioning grey as a cultural thread connecting sport, music, fashion, and skate. Through a global lineup of athletes and ambassadors, Grey Days explores how a color once rooted in function became a canvas for personal expression.

The celebration unfolds throughout May with a steady lineup of Grey Days releases that merge archival influences with modern design. Highlights include the launch of The Grey Shop featuring key styles like the FuelCell Rebel v5, Fresh Foam X 1080v15, and Coco CG2, alongside newer silhouettes such as the ABZORB 2010, ABZORB 2000, ABZORB 5030, and ABZORB 1890—models tapping into the resurgence of early-2000s running aesthetics while spotlighting the brand’s signature cushioning technology.
The Grey Days collection will be available throughout May in select New Balance, Foot Locker, and partner retail stores across the Philippines.
