LOOK: Balenciaga drops Year of the Tiger collection

Designer brands are starting 2022 by honoring the year of the tiger with special collections and pieces specifically designed after the Chinese zodiac. From Gucci’s contemporary selection to Human Made’s “Past Made” leather pieces, Balenciaga recently announced its own, the Year of the Tiger collection.
Posted on Instagram with a series of peculiar images, Balenciaga enumerated the pieces worn by models who look like they are exchanging faces. Among the pieces that were mentioned are Year of the Tiger jacket, Year of the Tiger trousers, Year of the Tiger t-shirt, Year of the Tiger cap, and more.
While some of the key looks were presented on Instagram, Balenciaga’s website offered more interesting pieces like the tiger-stripe printed zip-up jacket and socks. There are also a number of monogrammed apparel like pullovers, shirts, denim jackets, and pajamas. Accessories are not left out as bags, cardholders, keyrings, and bracelets were made available too! As for footwear, it ranges from rubber trainers to vegan leather boots all sporting a thematic color of orange, black, beige, and white.
