Welcome to the party, Glenn Martens!
Jean Paul Gaultier (JPG) has been collaborating with a couple of in-demand names in the industry as of late, from Sacai’s Chitose Abe to his latest link-up with artist Lil Nas X, JPG now continues his collaborative streak with Belgian fashion designer Glenn Martens.
Taking the Y/Project helm back in 2013 when director and founder Yohan Serfaty passed away, and as current creative director of Diesel, Glenn Martens’ directorial role expands as JPG taps the artist to take over the French house’s couture show for next year.
JPG announced the partnership through his Instagram saying, “Did you guess right? After Sacai, @glennmartens from @yproject_official takes over our next Couture Show.”
JPG is known for his thought-provoking designs and, as Glenn Martens enters the frame, we can’t help but be excited what kind of new wave style he will be bringing to the iconic fashion house.
