Another star-studded awards night had just happened, with the 2017 BET Awards taking place early last week. Rapper Big Sean, in a coordinated jacket and trousers ensemble from Bally, and rapper Gucci Mane in, of course, no less than a Gucci suit, were among those who rocked the red carpet. The highest honors, however, were given to the absent Beyoncè, who had recently given birth to twins, and Bruno Mars for Best Female and Male R&B/Pop Artist respectively, and to Kendrick Lamar and Remy Ma who were named Best Male and Female Hip-hop Artist respectively.

But the biggest spotlight was on Chance the Rapper who won Best New Artist and was presented a Humanitarian Award for his socially conscious work, with no less than the former FLOTUS Michelle Obama introducing the award via video message. But DJ Khaled’s son Asahd was perhaps the youngest fashion maverick that evening. The toddler, whom his dad credits as the executive producer on his latest album Grateful and was Gucci-twinning with Gucci Mane at the event, joined his father on stage during the latter’s performance.

SECOND GUESS ORIGINALS X A$AP ROCKY CAPSULE COLLECTIONS

The second capsule collections between GUESS and rapper A$AP Rocky are now out. “GUESS Club” and “Ice Cream and Cotton Candy” collections feature the signature stripes of the collaboration, done in jewel tones and pastel palettes. The fashions during the ’80s and the ’90s were the foundation of the new collections, along with A$AP Rocky’s thrust to relive the classics of those era to fit in with today’s tastes.
“GUESS Club” and “Ice Cream and Cotton Candy” by GUESS Originals x A$AP Rocky will be available in GUESS Glorietta, Mall of Asia, SM Mega Mall, Alabang Town Center, and SM Cebu starting on July 14.
THE XX’S LATEST MUSIC VIDEO RELEASE

Just like what we told you, the music video for The xx’s newest single “I Dare You” dropped last Friday and it features young stars Millie Bobby Brown, Paris Jackson, and Ashton Sanders, and models Lulu and Ernesto Cervantes, all dressed in Calvin Klein. With Raf Simons as its creative director, the music video is basically about young love, told in beautiful colors. Also, it obviously shows off the equally beautiful CK fall 2017 pieces. It’s seven minutes of good music and good drama that will get you hooked–a must-watch.

After the much talked-about Louis Vuitton x Supreme fall/winter 2017 show during the Paris Fashion Week Menswear early this year, pieces from the collection are now available for retail in Louis Vuitton pop-up shops that have just opened in Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Sydney, London, Paris, Los Angeles, and Miami. ANDAM FASHION AWARD 2017

Four months of presentations of business plans and creative outputs have culminated in an awarding ceremony for the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award in Paris, France last June 30. The Grand Prize and 250,000 euros went to Y/Project, while the Accessories Prize, Creative Label Prize, and Innovation Prize were awarded to Ana Khouri, Avoc, and Euveka, respectively.
The winners will be presenting their creations in the next Paris Fashion Week through the fellowship winners shows, to be followed by an ANDAM gala dinner.

SM YOUTH’S #DENIMUNBOUND FASHION SHOW

Showcasing genderless fashion, SM Men and SM Youth unveils #DenimUnbound, a celebration of denim’s universality and its limitless displays of style. The show was lead by SM Youth ambassadors Tommy Esguerra (and Garage cover boy for June/July!), Richard Juan, Janna Tee, Kyle Perry, Kaila Estrada, Macauly Lofgren, and Erika Kristensen. SM Men’s newest brand ambassador Nico Bolzico also walked the runway, sporting looks from the brand’s latest denim collection.
