Vans drops spring-ready collaboration with Sandy Liang

The New York-based designer injects childhood nostalgia into the collection

Once again, Vans taps New York fashion designer Sandy Liang for a quirky collection made up of ‘90s-inspired apparel and footwear.

“New York designer Sandy Liang reunites with Vans for an apparel and footwear collection inspired by her childhood growing up in New York. With a touch of nostalgia, Sandy elevates iconic Vans styles with novelty details and playful design direction. The collection comes to life through elevated textures, hand-drawn sketches, and signature Sandy motifs,” writes Vans on their website.

The collection, which includes 22 items in total, features spring motifs of flowers, sun, clouds, and butterflies, which can be seen printed or embroidered on t-shirts, Sherpa jackets, hoodies, bags, hats, and shoes. There are chino pants with colorful butterfly prints and a Sk8-Hi 38 DX with embroideries. Another standout is the Vans Authentic 44 DX with allover pastel print of smileys and wings.
