Nike goes evocative for new collaboration
German technical apparel brand Acronym Clothing brings its edge sensibilities to Nike with a collaboration dropping this February. The long-standing partnership between the two brands is releasing its first apparel capsule featuring custom Acronym graphics on highly functional apparel pieces.
“For each set of tracksuits, [Errolson] Hugh looks to camouflage systems in creating his own design language. Ghillie-inspired, laser-cut panels in each piece take these tracksuits into a different dimension. The pieces embody Hugh’s form-follows-function ethos, with breathable, durable fabric and modern design details letting you freely move and adapt with ease,” describes Nike.
The unisex pieces come in black, white, and beige colorways highlighted with reflective design underlays and co-branding of Acronym and Nike. The knit jackets, which are made of Therma-fit fabric, also sport custom embroidered wordmark on the back and stripes running down the sides of the outerwear.
Aside from the tracksuits, Nike and Acronym are also releasing iterations of the Blazer Low model in colorways of night maroon and black featuring Errolson’s cut-out design and futuristic elements.
