Zegna uncovers ‘A Path Worth Taking’ for fall 2022
Designer Alessandro Sartorio brings fresh style codes for a new era
Zegna has taken its viewers to breathtaking sceneries for its past presentations. With this new collection, it not only featured picturesque visuals but also made it extra special as one got transported to where it all started, in Oasi Zegna, where founder Ermenegildo Zegna began building the brand 112 years ago.
Models took over the mountains of Piedmont, Northern Italy for Zegna’s fall-winter 2022 presentation wearing a reimagined wardrobe that features new shapes, functions, and textures courtesy of creative director Alessandro Sartorio. “The reality we live in today requires adaptability, it asks us all to be fluid,” explained Alessandro. “Translating this idea into clothing means building a language of shapes and textures that grows and consolidates over time, matching the needs of the moment.”
Technical turtlenecks, carrot-cut pants, jacquard sweaters, boxy suits, and jackets with oversized front pockets ruled the runway in cream, gray, black and subdued colors of sienna, oxblood, and golden brown.
