This new blue fragrance has us in a chokehold

Jean Paul Gaultier’s latest limited edition leans into marine freshness with creamy warmth waiting underneath

Not every men’s fragrance needs to shout to make an impression. Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male In Blue Eau de Parfum takes a different route, dialing back the syrupy sweetness found in some of the brand’s gold-toned flankers in favor of something fresher, saltier, and more composed.

The opening pairs aromatic blue lavender with a metallic anise accord that gives the scent a cool, almost windswept quality. As it settles, benzoin adds a soft, creamy warmth without tipping into dessert territory. The result is spicy yet restrained, with a subtle marine character that lingers like sea air on sun-warmed skin.

The signature sailor torso returns in a deep metallic blue bottle streaked with translucent black, echoing rolling waves beneath the surface. It’s instantly recognizable, but moodier and more modern than before.
