Welcome this new Dr. Martens collaboration with Neighborhood

It comes to town this December

From Jean-Michel Basquiat to Supreme and A-Cold-Wall, Dr. Martens has been known to collaborate with the biggest names in the industry. This year, the British brand links up with Japanese label Neighborhood which champions in the streetwear scene.

Neighborhood was founded in Tokyo back in 1994 by Shinsuke Takizawa which was first seen at the backstreets of Harajuku until it creeped through the global scene as one of the streetwear labels to look out for.

“Neighborhood epitomises the influence of London’s punk culture and New York’s hip-hop scene on Japan’s own rebellious youth tribes,” shares Dr. Martens on their website. “With a reputation for bold style with authenticity and quality in every stitch, Neighborhood is a natural partner for our Originals. Crafted in our original Wollaston factory where Dr. Martens began over six decades ago — this collection celebrates creativity that stands the test of time.”

The collaboration is realized in two of Dr. Martens classics: the 2976 Chelsea boots and the 1461 leather shoes. Both boast black leather upper splattered with white paint, white stitches on the shoe upper and edge, smoke-colored outsole, and a special edition co-branded back stay.
