Meet the Custom Watch Beatmaker

From October 2020 to January 2021, Seiko, one of the biggest watchmakers in the industry, ran a campaign called “Custom Watch Beatmaker.” The participants of the campaign got to design a watch model by selecting and combining five existing watch parts from the brand. Now, the winning design is finally revealed and available as a limited-edition.

How did the contest go? The watch with the most ‘‘likes’’ online was selected from over 48,000 original designs. The winner got about 8,500,000 votes out of the 16,000,000 total votes worldwide. As launched, the design perfectly captures the brand’s concept of “Show Your Style.”

The Seiko 5 Sports Custom Watch Beatmaker 2021 Limited Edition sports a gold color dial combined with a bezel with red and blue accents. It is powered by 4R36 automatic with manual winding capacity movement with 41-hour power reserve. This stainless steel timepiece also features a 42.5mm diameter, 13.4mm thickness, and 46mm length. It also features a day/date window, hardlex crystal, and 10 bar water resistance.

As a sign of being limited-edition, the serial number 0001/2021-2021/2021 will also be seen on the case back. The Seiko 5 Sports Custom Watch Beatmaker 2021 Limited Edition will be available for P19,000. For inquiries, visit the Seiko website here.
