It’s same time telecast as the US
After 17 years in the making, the cast of “Friends”—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, and Chandler—finally makes a comeback with its much-anticipated reunion special. Aptly titled “The One Where They Get Back Together,” the show is said to feature an unscripted revisiting of the main cast of several original sets, chatting with other recurring cast members, playing of behind-the-scenes footage, and, of course, a very interesting table reading of selected old episodes.
In the Philippines, you can watch the special via HBO Go on Sky, as it streams at 3:01 p.m., which is the same time as its US premiere. HBO is set to broadcast it at 9 p.m.
So what to expect? Well, there’s a lot to unfold.
First, actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer return to be themselves and not their characters. As Manila Bulletin Lifestyle states in a recent article, the HBO Max Original features “appearances of actors Reese Witherspoon, James Corden, Kit Harrington, and Mindy Kaling. Also gracing the show are music superstars BTS, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift.”
David Beckham, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevigne, Elliot Gould, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, and Malala Yousafzai are to go on screen as well.
