Dressing for the great outdoors gets a light bohemian touch with this new collection
Loewe has released the fall/winter Eye/LOEWE/Nature collection comprised of technical menswear pieces that were inspired by the great outdoors. The campaign features British actor Russell Tovey walking the shores of England’s southeast and Chinese Olympian Ning Zetao swimming the Basque coast.
The fall/winter 2019 collection expands on the Eye/LOEWE/Nature debut collection’s archetypes of innovative utilitarian standards with new vibrant colorways, patterns, and prints that complement the colors of nature. Waterproof parkas come in blaze orange, blue, and forest green, constructed from performance fabrics and featuring large pockets, easy fastenings, and adjustable collars and hoods for abrupt weather changes. Warm fleeces and cozy knits are made from blends of recycled and organic cotton, with the line’s “Eye” signifier, designed by M/M (Paris), appearing on a psychedelically woven Brisbane yarn fleece. Organic cotton t-shirts feature hazy watercolors and photographs of seascapes, and they can be easily paired with tailored track bottoms and seven-pocket combat trousers and shorts.
As for accessories, sky-blue sling sacks and tote bags are hand-sewn in canvas and trimmed with oro calfskin by Japanese artisans, whose know-how also makes an appearance in the collection’s striped convertible and messenger bags that feature added cushioning and clever interior laptop compartments.
Loewe will also continue to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of the collection to fight plastic pollution.
Loewe is located at Level 1 of Shangri-La Plaza East Wing, Mandaluyong City.
