Wear (and taste) the rainbow this Pride month with these colorful goodies

In celebration of Pride month, designers and fashion brands are coming up with merchandise meant to spread the message of love, equality, and self-expression. A lot of them have also teamed up with LGBTQ+-inclusive and -supportive institutions, with part of the sales intended to support the community’s causes.

From shirts to shoes, bags, and accessories, here are ways of waving the rainbow flag and putting your money where your inclusive beliefs are:

H&M Love for All Collection

Ten percent of the sales from H&M‘s Love For All collection will be donated to UN Free & Equal, the United Nations Human Rights Office campaign aimed at building a world where no one is persecuted or marginalized because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Love For All collection will be available at all H&M branches starting on June 13.

IKEA Rainbow Kvanting shopping bag

All profits from this IKEA limited-edition shopping bag will go to its partner Human Rights Campaign Foundation, a charity that supports and campaigns for equality.

Polo Ralph Lauren Rainbow Clothing Collection

For over 25 years, the Ralph Lauren Corporation and The Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation have been allies of the LGBTQ+ community. This year, they are partnering with Stonewall Community Foundation, named after the historic riots staged by the gay community in 1969. Part of the sales from the gender-neutral Pride capsule collection for adults will be donated to the foundation, benefiting an international network of LGBTQ+ organisations.

ASOS x GLAAD Collaboration

For the third time, ASOS and the LGBT media monitoring organization GLAAD team up in celebration of Pride month. All proceeds from the sales of their latest 50-piece collab will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations. Making the line even more inclusive is the wide range of available sizes, from XS to 6X.

Adidas Pride Pack Collection

From the usual three stripes, Adidas gives four of its iconic shoes a rainbow makeover: the Continental 80, the UltraBOOST 19,  the Adilette slides, and the Nizzas.

Skittles’ Giving The Rainbow Campaign

In 2017, Skittles started celebrating Pride by “giving up” its rainbows of sweets to the LGBTQ+ community and producing white-only packaging and candies, which earned mixed reactions. This year, Skittles worked with the Straight Forward design agency and commissioned LGBTQ+ artists to produce four designs for limited edition packaging. “The idea is to directly involve the LGBTQ+ community”, said Straight Forward Design co-founder Mike Foster of the campaign.
