What to expect at Manila FAME 2025: Objects of Nature

The country’s premier design and lifestyle trade show returns with a renewed focus on sustainability, heritage, and handcrafted beauty

Manila FAME 2025 is bringing Filipino design back to its roots, literally. For its 73rd edition happening on October 16 to 18, 2025 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City, the country’s biggest home, fashion, and lifestyle trade show is all about reconnecting with what makes our creativity so distinct: craftsmanship, community, and our deep connection to nature.

With the theme “Objects of Nature,” this year’s show celebrates everything that makes Filipino artistry stand out on the global stage. “The word ‘nature’ refers to our physical world, and it can also mean the qualities that are basic or inherent to a person or an object,” shares Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) Executive Director Leah Pulido-Ocampo. “Within these contexts, ‘Objects of Nature’ has Manila FAME going right into the heart of what we do best. In the process, we unveil the unique selling propositions of our products that have made the Philippines a must-visit sourcing destination for design.”

With the theme “Objects of Nature,” Manila FAME 2025 goes to the heart of what Filipino artistry and craftsmanship do best.

When Design Comes Full Circle

In a world obsessed with tech and AI, Manila FAME is offering a refreshing reset. Expect to see handmade creations that celebrate natural materials and human touch, from finely woven textiles and hand-carved furniture to accessories inspired by the textures and colors of the outdoors. These pieces tell stories of heritage and sustainability, crafted through community-based processes that reflect our “pasadya” culture which are bespoke, thoughtful, and always with a personal touch.

The theme also mirrors a global shift toward sustainable and biophilic design, think nature-inspired forms, organic textures, and pieces that nurture our connection to the environment. Manila FAME is taking this concept and infusing it with Filipino warmth and ingenuity.

Beyond Products: The People Behind the Craft

This year, Design Commune, headed by creative director Tony Gonzales, brings together 20 local exhibitors from categories like furniture, lamps, and home décor. The goal? To reimagine raw materials into contemporary pieces that are as functional as they are artistic.

Meanwhile, Artisans Village continues to empower regional MSMEs through mentorship and design support. Global Trends Ambassador Patti Carpenter is back, working closely with communities from Bohol, Ilocos Sur, Quirino, and Tarlac to refine their materials from inabel to fossilized flowers and help them create pieces that reflect both craftsmanship and innovation.
