FIRST LOOK: Unreleased Birkenstock footwear
The Zurich model revealed at ‘The Hourglass Exhibition’
If you missed the chance to visit Birkenstock’s “The Hourglass Exhibition” at Greenbelt, we’re here to provide you with a recap of the showcase.
“The Hourglass Exhibition” is part of the brand’s preparations for its momentous 250th anniversary celebration in 2024. The exhibition delved into the brand’s rich history and legacy spanning over two centuries.
Established in 1774 and deeply rooted in tradition, the brand showcased its unwavering commitment to crafting footwear that allows people to walk naturally while emphasizing the importance of foot health.
Among the highlights of the exhibition was a glimpse of one of the brand’s most sought-after collaborations, the Birkenstock x Valentino. Drawing inspiration from the Italian fashion house, the Arizona model featured the VLTN logo on the sandals’ side and the V logo on the footbed.
Another exciting feature of the exhibition was the preview of the upcoming Zurich model, set to be released in a few months. This unreleased version combines a rustic yet modern aesthetic, merging the stability of closed shoes with the comfort of sandals. It boasts an upper crafted from a blend of soft synthetic felt and thick natural leather.
