WATCH: New Jeans demonstrates innovative ways to personalize your own 501s

Featuring a series of styling and DIY workshops from local industry experts

South Korean girl group New Jeans continues to dominate the worlds of music and fashion. With each member affiliated with designer labels, these ladies are undeniably becoming fashion and style icons, especially for younger generations.

One iconic clothing brand collaborating with the girls is Levi’s. As part of the year-long celebration of the brand’s iconic 501 jeans, New Jeans introduces fresh ways to customize this cult-favorite silhouette.

In a new campaign featuring the five-member girl group, Haus Tailors and other Levi’s artist partners have crafted unique interpretations of classic 501 fits, showcasing the creative potential of 501 jeans as a canvas for self-expression.

Just like Minji, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni, fans of both the girl group and Levi’s can now add their own embroidery designs, patches, pleats, and embellishments to their pieces. With special embroidery designs and patches from Japanese and Korean tailors, including Harajuku Tailor Shop and Garosugil Tailor Shop, fans can visit Levi’s Tailor Shops to create their completely original 501 interpretations.

Through special rips and repairs, 501 Original Jeans can also be given a worn-in and thrifted appearance, or made extra baggy.

In addition to embroideries, patches, and rips, customers are also given the opportunity to add studs to their jeans. It’s now possible to change the colors of the tabs, buttons, and the Levi’s patch. If you’re into Y2K style, you can even add bead bracelets to the back patch of your pants.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to partner with a brand that has such an illustrious history and a forward-looking vision. This campaign encourages people to discover and express their unique style by showcasing the various ways you can wear Levi’s 501 jeans and truly make them your own,” said New Jeans. “We’re excited for our fans to explore how they can customize the collection with the Levi’s Tailor Shop. We know they can take these clothes in some truly unique directions, and we can’t wait to see their creations!”

Moreover, for Levi’s Red Tab Program members, you can attend the “How Will You Wear Yours” workshop on the following dates:
