Michael Keaton to become Batman again
The actor first appeared as the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’
Michael Keaton is suiting up again as Gotham City’s Batman as he joins the cast of HBO Max’s upcoming film “Batgirl.”
Co-starring Michael in the Warner Bros. and DC project is Leslie Grace as the lead Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl. According to Entertainment Weekly, “‘Batgirl centers on the daughter of Police Commissioner James Gordon as she becomes the titular fan-favorite DC hero.” Joining them are actors Brendan Fraser as the Firefly, J.K. Simmons as the commissioner, and Jacob Scipio. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the movie is slated to be released in 2022 on the streaming platform.
Apart from “Batgirl,” Michael is also expected to be seen as Bruce Wayne alongside fellow Batman star Ben Affleck in a forthcoming “The Flash” film, featuring Ezra Miller as the title role.
Michael first appeared as the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s 1989 “Batman” film and reprised the role in the 1992 sequel “Batman Returns,” helmed by the same director.
