Dr. Martens x A-Cold-Wall is back for a second installment
This time, offering comes in black smooth leather
Dr. Martens’ collaborative streak for the year is not yet over. In the second part of its collaboration with another British brand, A-Cold-Wall (ACW), the partnership launched another iteration of the iconic 1461 last Nov. 6, 2021.
“A vision of both brands’ subcultural heritage. Conjuring images of inner-city architecture, we’ve drawn on founder Samuel Ross’ structural aesthetic for another unmistakable 1461 collaboration,” states Dr. Martens on their socials.
Unlike the first model which came in gray, this current version comes in black leather uppers. Details of the previous iteration like the zip laces are no longer seen and are switched with string lacing instead. This 1461 sports the ACW logo on the side panels and the iconic yellow stitching of Dr. Martens on the midsole. The upper is then stacked on a translucent iced sole which is a direction influenced by ACW founder Samuel Ross.
