Another set of Filipino designers showcased their works abroad: Bench Design Awards’ latest winners Christian Edward Dalogaog (Ched Studio), Renz Reyes, and Sherwin “Otto” Sacramento (Ottomondi) represented the Philippines on the runway at Japan’s famed Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo.
Bench also presented their spring/summer 2019 collection in Tokyo, while the three designers presented their Bench Design Award-winning designs that were first unveiled on September 2nd, plus a few new pieces for the Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo runway.
Bench spring/summer 2019
Fruity, tropical, bright—Bench’s pieces for the upcoming season hit all the marks for a wardrobe that will bloom beneath the scorching summer sun.
Christian Edward Dalogaog
The Ched Studio designer explored the beauty of asymmetry with his cleanly cut designs.
Sherwin “Otto” Sacramento (Ottomondi)
Masterful deconstruction with a very utilitarian aesthetic was the running theme in Sacramento’s collection.
Aside from the rare polished look, the appeal of Renz Reyes’ collection came from the slightly unfinished feel of his clothes, which seemed to highlight even further the meticulous work put into them.
