The annual fund-raising event for the benefit of the Guggenheim museum took place this week with a two-night Dior-sponsored celebration. The pre-gala party had the band Haim performing for guests from across all kinds of industries, with the exhibition “Art and China After 1989: Theater of the World” on display.
AZZEDINE ALAÏA, 77
Designer Azzedine Alaïa died at age 77 as reported by the French media publication Le Point. Aside from his sculptured pieces, he is known for sticking to his own standpoints, such as stepping out of seasonal calendars when releasing collections. He started his career at Christian Dior as a tailleur when he moved to Paris in 1957, and opened his own atelier in the 1970s.
BENCH UNDER THE STARS SHOW

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Bench put up a fashion show that showcases its hottest pieces on the rack, and the celebrities that personify the brand’s style. With the screams of fans reverberating through the whole arena, actors Richard Gutierrez, Paulo Avelino, Daniel Padilla, and Enrique Gil were a few of those who walked the runway. Viral engineering professor and Bench Body endorser Pietro Boselli also returned to Manila to make an appearance in the star-studded show.
