The tea scent with a 5-star past
Bvlgari’s former hotel-exclusive fragrance steps into the spotlight with Thé Impérial.
Some fragrances smell expensive. Others come with a story. Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial happens to have both.
Originally created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier in 2017 as the signature scent of Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts, Thé Impérial was once reserved for guests checking into some of the world’s most luxurious addresses. In 2026, it officially joins Bvlgari’s iconic Eau Parfumée collection, making the once-exclusive fragrance available beyond the hotel experience.

The scent centers on two ingredients that have long been associated with prestige and refinement: black tea and citrus. A natural Sri Lankan black tea extract brings depth and warmth, while Italian bergamot, lemon, and mandarin add a bright, sparkling freshness. The result is elegant and uplifting—a citrus musk that feels polished without trying too hard.
What makes Thé Impérial particularly interesting is its balance. The citrus notes deliver an immediate burst of energy, while the black tea lends a smooth, almost smoky sophistication that lingers on the skin. It’s the kind of fragrance that feels equally at home during a leisurely afternoon or a dressed-up evening out.

The bottle is just as considered. Joining Thé Vert and Thé Blanc, Thé Impérial arrives in the collection’s signature flacon inspired by ancient Roman columns, now rendered in warm amber-orange tones that reflect the glow of tea leaves and sun-ripened citrus.
If you’re drawn to fragrances that feel fresh, refined, and quietly luxurious, Thé Impérial might just be Bvlgari’s most elegant tea moment yet.
