Manila Fashion Week: Fashion’s new capital in the making

A new era of creativity, ambition, and global resonance begins this October

The country’s most anticipated fashion spectacle returns this October with a striking new identity. Once known as BYS Fashion Week, the platform that shook up the local style scene with boundary-pushing shows and unexpected collaborations has now evolved into Manila Fashion Week, a world-class celebration of Filipino creativity.

Since its debut, BYS Fashion Week has stood at the forefront of contemporary Filipino fashion, uniting trailblazers and emerging voices in a dynamic cultural conversation. With its rebrand, Manila Fashion Week sets its sights even higher: to spotlight Filipino artistry on the international fashion map while continuing to nurture homegrown talent.

Running from October 16–19, 2025 at SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City, this year’s line-up includes a powerhouse mix of visionaries like Andrea Tetangco, Don’t Blame The Kids (DBTK), Chris Nick, Viña Romero, OXGN, Íñigo, Randolf, and Viktor. True to its reputation, Manila Fashion Week promises star-studded front rows, a buzzing community, and a cultural showcase unlike any other.

“There’s just so much talent in the country but not a lot of avenues to showcase them properly,” says John Lozano, founder of MNLFW. “We hope that at least, for fashion, MNLFW can be a platform for Filipino designers and brands to show the world their story and what they can offer.”

“Ultimately, the goal is for MNL Fashion Week to be an event that the region, if not the world, will look forward to,” John adds. “And for it to be a launchpad for Filipino talent to go global. But for now, we just want it to be a celebration of the best in Filipino fashion.”
