Kayali Fragrances by Mona Kattan has officially introduced its latest scent to the Filipino market: Fleur Majesty Rose Royale | 31. At the launch, the Luxasia team shared a fun behind-the-scenes detail—the number at the end of the name signifies how many iterations the fragrance went through before being finalized.
A tribute to the queen of flowers, Fleur Majesty Rose Royale | 31 opens with a juicy, sparkling burst of mandarin, orange, pear, and sweet peach, giving it a shampoo-like floral freshness that feels vibrant and inviting. The heart blooms with a romantic mix of magnolia, white peony, rose centifolia, and violet wood, where the rose note remains central yet soft and balanced. As the fragrance settles, it reveals a warm, sensual drydown of vetiver, ambrox® super, vanilla, praline, musk, and the Kayali signature accord, making it an easy-reach scent that is feminine, wearable, and effortlessly charming.
“My inspiration for Kayali has always been to make people feel like royalty every time they wear our fragrances,” shared Mona Kattan. “With Fleur Majesty Rose Royale | 31, I wanted to create a warm floral scent that’s both strong and soft—a fragrance that makes you feel elegant, confident, and effortlessly unforgettable. To bring this scent story to life, I chose rose as the hero note. Often called the ‘Queen of Flowers,’ it adds a romantic and timeless quality to the fragrance. We layered in juicy green pear and sweet peach, along with delicate pink peony, violet wood, and purple musk, to create a sensual yet powerful scent that lingers beautifully wherever you go.”
The event brought together members of the media and top Filipino fragrance influencers, including Ali King, known for his love of gourmand scents, and Carlo Ocampo, a self-proclaimed gourmand skeptic who’s passionate about rose-forward compositions. Both had plenty to say about Kayali’s newest launch.
“This fragrance is a tribute to the queen of flowers—and my personal favorite fragrance note—rose,” shared Carlo. “It opens with peach, pear, and a cotton candy-like sweetness that’s present in all Kayali fragrances I’ve smelled. This is well-supported by rose de mai, a rose that typically carries a honeyed yet soft character compared to other varietals. At its base, there’s a loud presence of ambroxan.”
He went on to say, “Fleur Majesty Rose Royale projects grandly—fitting for its name. It’s loud yet balanced. One of my favorite releases from Kayali thus far. Or maybe I’m biased because I love rose in fragrances. Nonetheless, a much-needed addition to the Kayali line.”
Ali also weighed in on the scent and how it reflects the Kayali brand. “This fragrance feels very true to Kayali’s DNA—playful, pretty, and easy to wear. The name Fleur Majesty Rose Royale initially made me expect a rose-forward scent, but to my nose, it opens with the tart juiciness of peach and settles into a soft, musky drydown. The rose is definitely present, but more as a supporting character that helps balance the fruity-floral composition rather than taking center stage.”
Though he typically gravitates toward sweeter scents, Ali still found this one appealing. “As someone who loves gourmands, I still appreciate this scent for what it is. While it’s not a gourmand, it has that same wearability and charm that makes it fun to reach for—very Kayali in spirit.”
