Discover personalized jewelry at the newly-opened Atelier 818 store at SM Aura

Just like clothing, accessories play a huge part in expressing one’s personality and mood. If you’re a jewelry enthusiast, you understand the importance of finding a piece that truly resonates with you before making a purchase.

While there are many jewelry brands in the market, only a select few offer customizable handmade pieces crafted by skilled Filipino artisans for commercial sale. Atelier 818, a proudly homegrown brand, has recently opened its doors at SM Aura, providing customers with a unique and personalized jewelry experience.

Atelier 818 was founded by the talented jeweler and designer couple, Miguel and Niña Cuenca. Their vision is to create a “dream jewelry house,” a place where ideas can be discussed, creations can be drawn, and pieces can be tailored, created, and recreated. Collaborations are encouraged, fostering an atmosphere similar to traditional ateliers.

“We have a very personal approach to designing jewelry for our clients, as well as launching new collections. We handpick the gems and we only make limited pieces per design. Our artisans are also skilled at reworking heirloom pieces.” shared Niña.

Miguel added, “We also make sure to involve our clients throughout the whole process of creation—and we particularly love teaching them what they need to know about diamonds, gemstones and jewelry.”

Atelier 818 offers a diverse range of contemporary jewelry styles, and they excel in refining each piece to bring out the wearer’s unique personality.

Another jewelry enthusiast, Mikaela Lagdameo, a host and internet personality, collaborated with Atelier 818 to create a special collection titled “Chapters.” This collection represents stages in the wearer’s life, divided into three parts: Chapter 1: Memories converted to tattoo charms; Chapter 2: Strength in adage bands; Chapter 3: The ampersand.

Mikaela shared her thoughts on the collection, “For this collection, my standout piece would be the hook bangles, where you can add charms to your liking, or the adage band to personalize a phrase, a date, a name, or something meaningful that can serve as a reminder. These pieces are all very special to me.”

The Chapters collection will be available for six months in-store and online, with prices starting at P9,000. It can be combined and worn with Atelier 818 base pieces.

Atelier 818 Jewelry is located on the third floor of SM Aura Premier, Taguig.
