ICYMI: Pharrell’s debut on Louis Vuitton was all about joy, love, and fashion lovers
Additionally, Rihanna introduced as the new face of the maison
In case you missed it, Pharrell officially launched his collection under the French maison, marking the beginning of a new era for Louis Vuitton (LV). For LV’s spring-summer 2024 collection, the multi-talented artist incorporated his unique style into the brand’s fashion codes, including the Damier logo, heritage bags, and other recognizable iconography.
The event took place at the iconic Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, adorned with LV’s check logo, and was attended by A-list celebrities and Pharrell’s friends, such as Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland, Maluma, and Rihanna, who was later announced as the face of the spring-summer 2024 menswear collection.
Accompanied by the Virginia choir Voice of Fire, singing their rendition of Pharrell’s “Joy (Unspeakable),” the models showcased the “Damouflage” print. This unique print combines LV’s Damier print with camouflage patterns on silhouettes, such as bomber jackets, suits, trousers, trench coats, and a range of accessories, including scarves, hats, and bags.
In addition to the newly-introduced Damouflage print, other highlights of the collection featured the iconic checkerboard Damier print in various sizes on apparel pieces and heritage bags like the Neverfull, Speedy, and Alma, available in diverse colorways and sizes.
Pharrell’s affinity for embellished eyewear was also evident in this collection, as several looks were complemented by eccentric eyewear adorned with gemstones and pearls on both the frames and lenses.
