LOOK: New Havaianas design shows how hot you are

Giant flip flop brand Havaianas teams up with LA-based streetwear brand Market for another innovative and exciting product.
The latest novelty from the partnership with Market’s Mike Cherman brings forth a flip flop that takes the wearer’s body heat and maps it out on the footwear.
“We can’t believe it, but @market did the impossible: they turned our already-hot flip flops into something even hotter by adding thermal-reactive technology,” shares Havaianas. “Step into these and watch the soles go from black to red as they react to the heat of your body.”
Aside from the visual design, the footwear is functional more than ever. The footwear also uses heat-activated soles that react to the temperature of the sand on the beach to protect the feet in all beach conditions.
“For our first release, we wanted to focus on a product that functioned the way we all need a sandal at the beach,” says Mike. “Keeping you safe from the sand and especially the hot pavement of the streets. We utilized heat sensitive printing technology to give a true function to the wearer to know when the heat is too much for you to pop off your sandals and go barefoot.”
The Havaianas x Martket collab will be available in the Top and Tradi Zori models.
