LOOK: You can now get the Swatch x Centre Pompidou collection
‘It’s time to get creative’
Swatch watches have always been a canvas for art and their latest collaboration with Center Pompidou is now available in the Philippines.
For their latest #SwatchLovesArt offering, the watch brand features six artworks from the cultural center of Paris. The Swatch x Centre Pompidou includes works of Frida Kahlo, Amedeo Modigliani, Robert Delaunay, Vassily Kandinsky, and Piet Mondrian in Swatch’s New Gent and Gent silhouettes.
For Frida’s piece, “The Frame” can be seen on the watch together with Frida’s portrait and colorful Mexican folk motifs. Amedeo’s “Portrait de Dedie” is translated with pink and romantic details while Piet Modrian’s “Red, Blue, and White,” features clean graphic lines inspired by ‘60s fashion.
Two of Robert Delaunay’s artworks have been translated by the brand. The first one is “Manège de Cochons” which was envisioned with a whirl of dynamic colors while his “La Tour Eiffel” was perfectly replicated on the watch’s straps. The last art piece takes form in Vassily Kandinsky’s “Bleu de ciel,” which featured the artist’s quirky creatures all over the watch.
For the prices, “The Frame,” “Red, Blue, White,” “Blue Sky” retails for P5,400 while the “Carousel,” “Eiffel Tower,” and “Portrait of Dedie” for P4,350.
