Here’s how to incorporate Museum of Modern Art’s masterpieces into your modern wardrobe
It’s set to be released this Valentine’s Day
Almost a decade ago, the partnership between New York’s The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Uniqlo began. Today, one can now wear Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet’s iconic masterpieces every day through a Uniqlo T-shirt (UT) collaboration.
Under the concept of “Art For All,” MoMa and Uniqlo make art and museums more accessible to people. “Uniqlo and the Museum of Modern Art have partnered since 2013 to make art more accessible to the world. Uniqlo and the Museum of Modern Art’s partnership invites everyone to enjoy the art of our time through free admission and special access programs and digital content initiatives including Uniqlo ArtSpeaks, where the Museum of Modern Art staff members share their personal stories about art on view in the galleries,” shares Uniqlo.
One can now wear Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night (1889),” which features rich blues and yellow as t-shirts, as well as Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies (1914-26),” featuring subtle hues. Liubov Popova’s abstract works can be found on t-shirts and pullovers as well as Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence of Memory (1931).”
