WATCH: Pepsi drops trailer of star-studded Super Bowl halftime show
Five music industry icons are headlining this year
The Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated games in the football world and the halftime show performances only make it better. Happening this Feb. 13, Pepsi recently released the trailer announcing the performers for the 56th Super Bowl halftime show.
Titled “The Call,” the trailer starts with Eminem having a rap battle versus his alter ego, Slim Shady, before getting a call. Snoop Dogg, who’s riding his lowriders, also gets a call before making a U-turn to meet his fellow performers. The next artist and the only woman performing this year is the iconic Mary J. Blige, who got her call while doing a photoshoot. The fourth artist is Kendrick Lamar seen writing lyrics; while the last one is Dr. Dre coasting the beach before hopping in on Snoop Dogg’s car.
The musical compilation features iconic tracks of “Rap God,” “The Next Episode,” “Family Affair,” “HUMBLE.,” “Still D.R.E.,” and “California Love,” which made fans even excited for the show.
