Alex Diaz to star in upcoming international film ‘Glitter and Doom’

Here’s what we know so far

Alex Diaz is in Mexico City right now filming his first-ever international film, “Glitter and Doom.” Earlier this October, the Filipino actor announced on his Instagram account the part that he will be playing for the musical. “Finally able to announce my first international film #GlitterAndDoomTheMusical where I will be starring as Glitter alongside my lovely onscreen partner, the extremely talented Alan Cammish, a British actor from the UK who will be playing Doom,” shared the actor.

Glitter and Doom is a fantastical romance film told through the music of Grammy-winning pop folk duo Indigo Girls. According to Broadway World, the film will follow a musician who is a carefree kid about to run away with the circus where he falls in love with another performer.

“We’re so excited to return to Mexico to shoot this story that celebrates young love and to do so with such an amazing international cast and crew and the support of our incredible producing partners in Mexico and New York. And to be on this journey with the support of two of our heroes, Indigo Girls’ Amy and Emily, is humbling and inspiring,” shared Tom Gustafson, director of the musical.
