SEE: Best looks from the Louis Vuitton x NBA capsule collection II
Make a fashion statement on and off the court
Last January 2020, the first collaboration between the National Basketball Association and French fashion house Louis Vuitton by artistic director Virgil Abloh was announced to much fanfare. After a year, May 2021 to be exact, the sophomore offering from the three-year creative partnership has been revealed with capsule II centering its theme on three categories: game, travel, and press conference.
For the game set, shirts adorned with the fashion label’s name take the lead while jersey-inspired shorts and jackets display the brand’s varsity logo. For travel, relaxed silhouettes have been prioritized with hoodies, coats, and coordinates featuring the LV emblem. As for the press conference category, flared trousers and blouse jackets detailed with basketball elements are the clear standouts.
The capsule collection also includes accessories which involve co-branded leather bags, ball pouches, basketball carriers, monogrammed ankle boots, scarves, neckties, chain bracelets, and even face masks.
Closer to home, the luxury label is currently hosting a special pop-up showcasing the new season of LV x NBA at Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul, South Korea. If you’re up for an immersive experience, drop by and see several pieces “exclusively available at the Shinsegae pop-up such as a vintage-inspired Monogram gym bag or a leather varsity-style jacket.”
The Louis Vuitton x NBA capsule collection II drops May 28, 2021. For the full collection, visit Louis Vuitton’s website.
