H&M gets romantic with its collab collection with Giambattista Valli
From last year’s ’90s nostalgia of the Moschino[tv]H&M collection, it’s all about romance this time with H&M’s newest collaborator. Paris-based Italian designer Giambatista Valli will be designing a limited edition capsule collection of frothy, flirty, romantic party dresses and tailored pieces that will pre-drop online and in select stores tomorrow, May 25.
H&M’s creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson made the announcement at the Cannes amfAR Gala, with Valli and ambassadors/muses Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragni, Bianca Brandolini, (Li Yuchun), H.E.R., and Ross Lynch present, all of whom were wearing pieces from the collection.

“I am excited about this collaboration. H&M gave me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience. The goal is to share my love for beauty and to be able to be a part of everyone’s happy moments, to help create love stories all around the world,” said Valli.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Giambattista Valli. He is the undisputed master of haute couture with a knack for the memorable silhouette. To be able to bring his signature styles to our customers is a dream come true. We can’t wait to see their reactions to this beautiful collection,” added Johansson.
The collaboration with H&M is the first of its kind for Valli and also marks his first foray into menswear.
A limited pre-collection selection from the Giambattista Valli x H&M collaboration will be available in 12 selected H&M stores around the world. For the Philippines, it will be available at the H&M website starting tomorrow, May 25th. The main collection will be fully available on November 7.
