GUGGENHEIM INTERNATIONAL GALA
November 15-16 | New York, USA

The annual fund-raising event for the benefit of the Guggenheim museum took place this week with a two-night Dior-sponsored celebration. The pre-gala party had the band Haim performing for guests from across all kinds of industries, with the exhibition “Art and China After 1989: Theater of the World” on display.

AZZEDINE ALAÏA, 77
November 18

Designer Azzedine Alaïa died at age 77 as reported by the French media publication Le Point. Aside from his sculptured pieces, he is known for sticking to his own standpoints, such as stepping out of seasonal calendars when releasing collections. He started his career at Christian Dior as a tailleur when he moved to Paris in 1957, and opened his own atelier in the 1970s.
