Volt in with Giordano’s Voltes V 40th anniversary collection
“Let’s volt in!”
Children of a certain age will know this line: the signal for the five spaceships piloted by Steve, Little John, Big Bert, Mark and Jamie to come together and form Voltes V. The Japanese animated series first captured the imaginations of children (and their minders) in the ’70s with its story of friendship, bravery and stre–eh, who are we kidding? There were spaceships! That came together to form a giant robot! That fought alien monsters! And defeated the evil Boazanians!
While Voltes V might have been cut short in the ‘70s (then-President Ferdinand Marcos banned the TV show because of “excessive violence,” with the last four episodes left unaired), the mighty robot managed to return in the succeeding decades, where it always gained a large fanbase after each run. Even now, 40 years after its first airing in Japan, Voltes V still continues to claim the hearts of the young and young-at-heart.

To commemorate Voltes V‘s 40th anniversary, Giordano has launched a collection featuring your favorite robot. Shirts, hoodies, and more let you relive those lazy afternoons when all you worried about was whether the Boazanian forces would ever destroy Camp Big Falcon.
These pieces will volt in (sorry, couldn’t help it) with the rest of your wardrobe, especially that gray cotton t-shirt with micro-printed illustrations, so you can easily wear Voltes V on your sleeve (or on your chest) like the true fan that you are.
This Voltes V collection is now available in all Giordano stores nationwide.
