adidas Stan Smith collectors have yet another shoe to covet, as the iconic green and white sneaker gets interpreted by musician and designer Pharrell Williams for the “Pastel Pack,” a colorful take on the lifestyle classic.
Super comfortable and ultra-lightweight, Williams’ Tennis Hu sneaks had people buzzing in anticipation when it was announced last spring. Taking points from the Stan Smith’s structure, Williams updated the shoe with a more fluid-looking form and a sock-like construction, as well as introduced refreshing colorways: Tactile Rose, Icey Blue, and Linen Green. For those still looking for the classic white, there’s a version with colored accents on the tongue and heel–a classic adidas tennis shoe aesthetic.
As for the actual Stan Smith, its signature silhouette and design remain the same, but in colors that complement the Tennis Hu pairs. Made with premium full-grain leather, versions include a single full-body color and one that follows the classic Stan Smith aesthetic of clean white leather added with pops of color and a gold “Stan Smith” text emblazoned on its sides.
