MANILA FASHION FESTIVAL

Showcasing the trends and designs made for spring/summer and cruise 2018, the Manila Fashion Festival gathered some of the country’s respected designers and brands for four days of nothing else but Filipino fashion.

Garage joined the Manila Fashion Festival with five designers we deem to be purveyors of excellent menswear fashion: Ziggy Savella, Jinggo Inoncillo, Mark Tamayo, LSW, and Proudrace. Designers like Brit Tripudio, Renan Pacson, CJ Martin, and Jun Jun Ablaza also presented their collections that cover minimalism, maximalism, streetwear, and neat basics.

VALENTINO GARAVANI AWARDED WITH THE GOLDEN PLATE AWARD

Fashion designer Valentino Garavani is one of this year’s recipients of the prestigious Golden Plate Award given by the American Academy of Achievements to visionaries in the fields of arts, sciences, business, sports, and public service. Garavani serves as the first European designer to receive the award alongside past recipients former U.S. President Barack Obama, film director Steven Spielberg, singer Aretha Franklin, professional basketball player Michael Jordan, and fellow fashion designers Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger.

ERDEM X H&M SHOW
October 19 | Los Angeles, California

This week saw the celebration of H&M’s latest collaboration with designer Erdem Moralioglu. The party was attended by celebrities, social media personalities, top models, and the brand and the designer’s friends. A fashion show during the party presented the full collection of the collaboration, with special attention on Erdem’s very first menswear pieces.
