Good news: This September, eating your greens and getting your workout on will be much more fun and easy

SaladStop! celebrates Salad Month this September as part of its mission to help people maintain a healthy diet and keep a fitness routine.

Known for its fresh salads, wraps, and hearty snacks, the salad bar puts healthy living and wellness into focus with its upcoming month-long celebration of the “Eat Wide Awake Movement,” a campaign that reinforces the value of conscious eating and keeping a well-balanced lifestyle.

“‘Eat Wide Awake’ is about being aware of what you put into your body, and being more mindful of the small decisions you make each day,” explains Raymond Gutierrez, one of SaladStop!’s Eat Wide Awake Movers. He is, by the way, one of the cover guys of Garage‘s current issue, where he talks more of his journey towards health and fitness.

Joining Gutierrez as Eat Wide Awake Movers are actress Coleen Garcia, host and marathon enthusiast Kim Atienza, volleyball player Michele Gumabao, and celebrity trainer Coach Arnold Aninion.

“Being a volleyball player, playing every day, I have to sustain myself with the amount of work I put out,” said Gumabao at the campaign launch yesterday. “So being part of the SaladStop! family has been so convenient and healthy for me. It adds to the healthy lifestyle that I have right now.”

SaladStop! is hosting several events to celebrate the first-ever Salad Month, starting with a series of interactive and fitness activities at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater on September 9 . The highlight of the day will be a live DJ ride cycling party courtesy of Electric Studio.

On September 16, SaladStop! will have an exclusive Hybrid Density Training class led by Eat Wide Awake mover and celebrity trainer Coach Arnold Aninion.

“You only have one body and you have to look after it,” Aninion remarked. “And being wide awake and knowing what you put in your body are such big things.”

In addition to the fitness activities that celebrate Salad Month, SaladStop! is also introducing two items on the menu: the Ting Tong salad and wrap and the Yeobo Yeobo warm grain bowl.

Ting Tong is a mix of romaine lettuce, Cajun shrimp, vermicelli, ripe mango, pomelo, cherry tomatoes, snow peas, shredded coconut, roasted peanuts, and Thai Peanut Turmeric dressing. It will be available beginning on September 3.

Meanwhile, the Yeobo Yeobo warm grain bowl is made with baby spinach, quinoa, roasted chicken, eggs, sweet corn, alfalfa sprouts, edamame, and Korean Chili vinaigrette. It will be on the menu starting on September 17.

SaladStop! has branches in Central Square Bonifacio High Street, Power Plant Mall, OPL Building in Legaspi Village, Greenhills, Glorietta 2, Ayala Tower One, Burgos Circle, Alabang Town Center, Salcedo Village, and Ayala Center Cebu.
