Makati City is ready to host another fabulous and inclusive event as Mayor Abby Binay-Campos invites everyone to “Spread the love, Makati”—a celebration of diversity, equality, and inclusivity happening this Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Set in the vibrant vicinity of Makati Avenue and Barangay Poblacion, the celebration will be packed with exciting pocket events featuring inspiring speakers and guests discussing key issues on inclusive development and cultural diversity. Look forward to motivational and informative talks from Janlee Dungca about sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC); Benedict Bernabe on the health needs of the LGBTQIAP+ community; Chris Eugenio on pride in business; and Mori Rodriguez on understanding internal discrimination.
In addition to these inspiring talks, the event will feature dazzling performances throughout the day, including colorful concerts and street parties. Enjoy electrifying performances by the Intensity Dancers, DJ sets by Moira Lang and Dignos, and vogue performances from the House of Revlon, including Nunoy.
Drag artists from O Bar and House of Ding will also showcase their talents alongside musicians Mark Bautista and Nicole Laurel Asensio.
Attendees can join Tiny Deluxe for a drag makeup tutorial and styling session, and explore photography and painting with Niccolo Cosme.
There will also be bars celebrating the occasion with drag performances and burlesque, such as The Spirits Library on Guerrero Street in Poblacion, Makati.
From thought-provoking discussions to engaging activities, the Makati Pride event, beautifully styled by Leeroy New, promises a memorable experience for everyone and anyone.
