Low Profile: Converse is set to drop a new silhouette
Introducing the Run Star Trainer
Sports and style collide in this new silhouette created by Converse. The new Run Star Trainer represents a diverse history across the athletic landscape, including running, volleyball, fencing, and even tennis, proving how style can come hand in hand with athleticism.
The new silhouette draws inspiration from nearly 20 heritage Converse models built for distinct sports. Take the shoe’s familiar gum outsole, which is steeped in the brand’s history in running and indoor track. The tread pattern is conceptualized from the Chuck Taylor All Star and exaggerated through the heel.
Coming in a low profile, the Run Star Trainer mixes materials like nylon, suede, and leather, giving the footwear a rich dimension. Another familiar insignia seen on the silhouette is the star logo, first introduced in 2019 on the Run Star Hike. This silhouette will also come in playful and varied colors of Golden Wren, Blue, Red, Egret, and Black.
In the Philippines, the Converse Run Star Trainer will be available on July 8, 2024, at www.converse.ph, and on July 15, 2024, via select retail stores for P4,290.
