Is this the next ‘It’ men’s footwear?
Lemaire goes minimalist, hybrid, and effortlessly chic
The footwear industry has long been dominated by sneakers, with everyone who’s anyone sporting Yeezys or Air Force 1s. New Balance shook things up with dad shoes, followed by the resurgence of Adidas Sambas and Onitsuka Tiger’s Mexico 66.
For those inclined towards leather shoes, Maison Margiela’s Tabi boots became a go-to, leaving fashion trailblazers searching for a new footwear essential.
One footwear silhouette currently gaining attention is Lemaire’s flat slippers. Imagine the simplicity of ladies’ ballet flats blended with the Tabi split-toe design illusion due to its piping detail.
This shoe boasts a classic and straightforward construction, with two pieces of leather sewn together to form the distinctive piping detail. The slipper and loafer hybrid also features a low-cut midsole reminiscent of a V-neck t-shirt but for your feet.
Customers can choose from two leather options for the shoe. The Piped Crepe Slippers, priced at P36,200, come in dark brown deep-grained leather with a low shine, offering a slightly chunkier look. On the other hand, the Flat Piped Slippers, priced at P41,800, are crafted from black lamb nappa leather with a shiny finish.
