LOOK: This hybrid shoe is included in Time’s Best Invention 2022 list

Annually, Time Magazine awards the best inventions in the categories of tech, design, beauty, entertainment, fitness, etc. This year, for the first time, the award-giving body extended the awards to 200 products and this hiking footwear from Merrell made the list.

Launched in July 2022 and perfected by the Merrell test lab, the MTL Long Sky 2 was designed to take the lightweight performance of track shoes and infuse it with the durability of hiking boots to give trail runners an abrasion-resistant, antibacterial, breathable, and adaptable solution that can withstand any element.

This hybrid performance shoe boasts a lightweight construction of FloatPro Foam midsole that helps reduce fatigue while trail running while the materials used on this footwear are also quick-dry, making the runner’s feet less moist and comfortable. In addition, the world-class traction of Vibram Megagrip is also added to support the underfoot sole.

Currently, the MTL Long Sky 2 comes in a tangerine colorway featuring orange uppers and midsole with hints of gray and blue around the ankle.
