Crimson Hotel Filinvest City welcomes the Yuletide season with a very Filipino tree-lighting event

Complete with traditional Christmas songs and a merienda feast

Crimson Hotel Filinvest City goes distinctly Filipino this yuletide season as they recently lit their beautiful Christmas tree. Adorned with sinamay, capiz shell ornaments, and woven miniatures, the towering centerpiece at the main lobby of the hotel in Alabang is truly a sight to see.

For 2022, the theme of the hotel is “Dito Tayo sa Pasko,” putting a spotlight on Chroma Hospitality’s “Live Love Local” program. This also observes the best of Filipino hospitality through a selection of staycation packages that will give families a home away from home for the holidays with exceptionally home-grown flair and flavor.

“I believe that Christmas 2022 is going to be one punctuated by meaningful gatherings in light of the seclusion we all felt throughout the duration of the pandemic,” says Arlene G. Tongco, general manager of the hotel. 

The tree-lighting ceremony was officiated by Chroma Hospitality Country Manager James Montenegro, Chroma Vice-president for Sales and Marketing Carmela Bocanegra, and Roger John Smith, deputy city administrator of Muntinlupa.

During the event, guests were warmly welcomed with a bountiful buffet merienda featuring traditional kakanin which is usually served during dawn masses or “Misa de Gallo.” Some of the treats included bibingka, puto bumbong, and steaming cups of just-whisked tsokolate.

Apart from the chow, employees of the city of the government of Muntinlupa also serenaded the guest with popular Christmas jingles which added more warmth and tradition to the ambiance.
